- Your Anchored in Grace account
- When you create an account for the devotional community on pvwinona.com or in the PV app, we collect your email address and a password. Google Firebase runs sign-in for us. We never see your password.
- Reflections you share
- If you share a reflection in the Anchored in Grace community, we collect the name shown with it and what you write. On the website you choose the name; in the app it’s your first name. A moderator reads each one before anyone else can see it.
- Posts and comments in the app
- If you share a post or a comment in the PV app’s feed, we collect what you write, the passage or devotional day it points to, and the reactions you leave. They’re shown with your first name. You can delete your own posts and comments in the app.
- Groups and chat in the app
- If you make or join a group in the PV app, we keep the group’s name, look and settings, who’s in it and their roles, and anyone asking to join. If you send a message in a group’s chat, we keep what you write, the message you replied to, the reactions you leave, and the name shown with it: your first name and last initial. Messages are shown only to the group’s members, and PV staff can open a group or chat to act on a report. We also keep how far you’ve read in each chat and which chats you muted, so we can show unread counts and skip notifications you don’t want. Messages stay until you delete them, a group’s admins or leaders take them down, or PV staff remove them.
- Your profile photo
- The app shows your Planning Center profile photo next to your name in groups, chat and the feed, to the people who can see what you wrote there. In the app you can choose a photo of your own instead, or show no photo (your initials). A photo of your own is stored by PV with your account and shown the same way. Anyone can report a photo, and PV staff can take it down.
- Sign-up sheets
- When you sign up for something on a PV sign-up sheet, like an RSVP, a meal train or a serving slot, we collect what you picked, how many are coming and your answer to the sheet’s question. On the website we also collect your name and the email or phone you give; in the app your name comes from PV’s church records. PV staff see it all, to plan and to reach you about that sign-up. Other members see only your first name and last initial on the sheet in the app. We send a reminder the day before and any updates staff write, by notification in the app or, if you signed up on the website, by email.
- Your Bible library
- When you’re signed in, the highlights, notes, bookmarks, reading plan progress, saved plans, Sunday sermon notes and group night notes you make in the app are saved with your account, so they’re there when you sign in on another phone or iPad. Highlights, notes and bookmarks keep the verse references, never the Bible’s words. Only you see them. You can turn this off in the app, which also removes the copy saved with your account.
- Your journey
- When you’re signed in, the app also keeps a short log of each day with your account, like the rest of your Bible library: the chapters you read, the sermons you heard, and how long you spent reading and listening. It’s what the app uses to show Your journey on each phone or iPad you sign in on. Only you see it. PV staff never do, and it isn’t used for any church-wide total.
- Reading together
- If your group reads a plan together and you choose to share when you’ve read, your group sees your first name on that day’s list, and your group’s leaders see how many people read each day. If you read a plan with friends, the people in it see your first name, the days you marked read and the notes you leave for them.
- Sharing your reading with your group’s leaders
- On a group’s page in the app, you can let that group’s leaders see your reading. It’s off unless you turn it on, and it’s for that one group only. Its leaders then see, for the last 7 days, how many days you were in the Word, the reading plans you’re in and the day you’re on, and the last day you read. They don’t see what you read, your highlights or your notes, and no one else sees it. Turn it off on the same page anytime, and it stops right away. Leaders also see how many members aren’t sharing, never who.
- Friends
- You add friends in the app only by sending someone your friend link, or by asking someone you’re reading a plan with. Your friends see your first name and last initial. Nobody can search for you. You can remove a friend anytime, and deleting your account removes your friends list.
- Notifications
- If you allow notifications, we keep your phone’s notification address and the kinds you chose, with your account, and use them only to send what you picked.
- Reports
- If you report a post, comment, chat message or profile photo, we keep what you reported and why. PV staff read reports and can take it down, or stop the person who shared it from sharing. They aren’t told who reported it.
- Forms, giving and registrations
- Prayer requests, event registrations, giving and other forms open in Church Center, Planning Center’s app for churches. What you enter there is handled under Planning Center’s privacy policy.
