What you give us

Your Anchored in Grace account

When you create an account for the devotional community on pvwinona.com or in the PV app, we collect your email address and a password. Google Firebase runs sign-in for us. We never see your password.

Reflections you share

If you share a reflection in the Anchored in Grace community, we collect the name you choose to show with it and what you write. A moderator reads each one before anyone else can see it.

Forms, giving and registrations

Prayer requests, event registrations, giving and other forms open in Church Center, Planning Center’s app for churches. What you enter there is handled under Planning Center’s privacy policy.

What the app reads from Planning Center

Planning Center is the database where Pleasant Valley keeps its church records. When you sign in to the PV app, our website finds your record there by your verified email address. It reads your name, the groups you’re in, the serving teams you’re on and your upcoming serving dates, and sends them only to you.

The app never changes anything in Planning Center. To keep the app quick when many people open it at once, our website keeps what it read for a few minutes before asking Planning Center again.

To change your information, update your profile in Church Center or contact the church office.

What stays on your phone

Your prayers, the people you’re praying for by name, sermon notes, group night notes, Grace Anchor reflections and devotional progress are saved only on your phone. They aren’t sent to us or anyone else.

Reminders you turn on are set on your phone. Your sign-in is kept in your phone’s secure Keychain.

What’s collected automatically

Website visits

pvwinona.com uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count page visits and measure how fast pages load. They don’t use cookies, and what we see isn’t tied to you.

Cookies and browser storage

The website uses cookies only to keep people signed in to member and staff tools. Your browser also remembers your place in the devotional and keeps you signed in to the community.

Videos and maps

Some pages show videos from YouTube or Vimeo, or a map from Google. When those load, those companies may collect information about your visit under their own privacy policies.

Technical logs

Vercel, which hosts pvwinona.com, keeps short-term technical logs such as IP addresses to keep the site running and secure.

The app

The PV app has no ads, no tracking and no analytics.

How we use it

We use this information to sign you in, show you your own groups and serving, share reflections that moderators have approved, answer you when you contact us, and keep the website and app working and secure.

We don’t sell your information, show you ads, or add you to marketing lists.

Who we share it with

Services that run these tools for us

Google Firebase (accounts and the devotional community), Planning Center (church records and Church Center) and Vercel (the website). They handle information on our behalf.

Other people in the community

Reflections a moderator approves are shown to others, with the name you chose.

When the law requires it

We’ll share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.

Your choices

Delete your account

In the PV app, go to You, then Account, then Delete account. That deletes your Anchored in Grace account for the app and the website’s devotional community. Reflections you shared stay up unless you ask us to remove them. Email us and we will.

Sign out

You can sign out of the app any time, from the You tab.

Your church record

To see or change what Planning Center has about you, use Church Center or contact the church office.

Children

Our online accounts are for people 13 and older. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information online, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Security

Everything between you, the app and pvwinona.com is encrypted. The church’s access to Planning Center stays on our server and is never put on your phone. No service is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what you trust us with.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
