Serve at PV

There’s a place for you to serve at PV.

Serving is how a lot of people at PV get connected. You learn names, make friends, and become part of the church family.

A Sunday at PV

None of it happens by itself.

Before anyone walks in on a Sunday, people have already said yes. Here’s where they are, and where you could be.

Down the hall · Kids Ministry

Kids Church is full.

Our preschool rooms are full every Sunday (a great problem to have!), and we need more people to open another preschool room. Every week, kids learn about Jesus from people who show up for them: a small group leader who knows their name, someone acting out the Bible story, someone leading the worship dances, and someone running the tech.

  • About 12 small group leaders for PreK and elementary
  • People to act in skits
  • Help leading the worship dances
  • Help running tech
How often
Every other week, once a month, or as a sub

At the door · Guest Services

Someone walks in for the first time.

The first thing they notice is a friendly face. Greeters welcome people at the door, ushers help them find a seat, and Living Room hosts make the space after the service feel like home. It’s a small thing that tells someone they belong here.

During the week · Handyman team

The building takes care of us. Someone takes care of it.

Painting, drywall repair, light carpentry, and the little fixes a building needs. Long after Sunday is over, a few people with good hands keep this place ready for everyone who walks in.

  • Some experience helps: you’re comfortable working on your own
  • Tools provided
Time commitment
Called per project: once a month or once a week, whatever works for you

This November · OCC drop-off week

Shoeboxes from across our area come through our doors.

PV is a drop-off site for Operation Christmas Child. Families from all over bring their packed shoeboxes here, and volunteers welcome them, then count the boxes and pack them for shipping to children around the world.

Why serve

Serving is how people get connected.

It’s easier to belong somewhere when you have a part to play. On a team you see the same faces, learn names, and share the work, and Sunday starts to feel like home.
