Operation Christmas Child · Fall 2026

One shoebox can tell a child they're loved.

Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan's Purse, delivers shoebox gifts filled with toys, school supplies and hygiene items to children around the world, along with the Good News of Jesus.

Every fall, our church family fills shoeboxes together, and PV opens its doors as a drop-off site so our whole community can take part. This year, we need volunteers for drop-off week, November 16–23.

How it works

How it all fits together.

Three parts, in order. You can help with any or all of them.
  1. 1

    All October

    Donate items

Bring new items to the bins in the Café, outside the Ministry Center. They fill the shoeboxes we pack together.

  2. 2

    Sunday, Nov. 15 · 6:30 p.m.

    Shoebox Packing Party

All families are welcome to pack shoeboxes together with the items our church family donated.

  3. 3

    Nov. 16–23

    Drop-off week

PV is a drop-off site for National Collection Week. Families from across our area bring their packed shoeboxes here, and we need volunteers to welcome them.

Volunteers needed

Serve during drop-off week.

Volunteers welcome people dropping off their shoebox gifts, then count the shoeboxes and pack them into cartons for shipping.
  • Pick a two-hour shift. Each shift has room for six volunteers.

Shifts and drop-off hours
